In Memoriam (1944-2021)

Gary had a very vibrant 40+ year career in the financial services industry. He joined Council Oak Wealth in October 2018 and had retired shortly before his passing in 2021. Over Gary’s illustrious career at large brokerage firms, he served both as a branch manager and Vice President of Wealth Management.

Gary attended Edison High School and the University of Tulsa, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. He also attended law school at the University of Tulsa prior to entering the brokerage business.

Gary’s wife, Joan, is also a graduate of the University of Tulsa. They were very active in TU’s alumni community. Gary previously served on the Tulsa Chapter of the University’s Alumni Board, and caught nearly every TU home football and basketball game. Gary was a very proud parent of their daughter, Audrey (Reid) who, along with Joan, all now reside in Chicago.
